Every Wednesday and Thursday after noon at about 3.15 pm the Kahurangi team meets at Kaitao to train for Saturday netball on our school AstroTurf. The AstroTurf is lined and measured out for a netball court. We start of with a nice easy warm up which is 3 laps of the netball court , then we move onto the shuttles we do that 3 times, then we move onto ball skills which brings us to half of our training, After we go onto working with one part of the court last week it was mid court. Strait after we go to half court to finish up our trainings.
Saturday morning! at the netball courts our Netball team should arrive at about 10.20am but our game is not until 11.00am the reason being is because we have to warm up before our game but we arrive at 10.20am because we all need to group before we start to warm up. For our warm up, simply we run around all the courts at the Westbrook Netball Courts later we go to stretches then go onto ball skills like passing and jumping along whilst keeping on our toes and other drills like that. After our warm up its time to take our positions on the court and wait for the bell to signal our time to start playing!
The New Hall!!
I think the new hall is gonna be so cool because its really out there with its colours and they have really shiny mirrors. Its has a mean cool design and its got big doors for the school to get in as well. Hopefully it is gonna have lots of cool stuff in it too like basketball courts and a volleyball court too. Its taken quite alongwhile to make it too so I really want it to be finishedsoon so we can sit inside for assembly's.
Tui Ridge
Tui ridge was really fun with all our teams and sporty stuff we had to do. We also won for that camp so that was cool too. They made lots of yummy foods and drinks.They also had mean rooms for us.we had lots of group activities but one of the activities were really hard to do because we had to look around the whole camp for these sharp things that make holes in our sheet to go to the other ones,we were looking for about a hour because we kept on going past it but we found it after a mean long while.It was still fun though.We played against other teams from our school and I think we won all of them but I'm not sure.We stayed there for about two days and three days. And that's what I did at Tui Ridge.Oh yeah when we won we got pizza.YUM!!!!
